Abba Löksill is a real bestseller, with selected pieces of herring in a classic clear layer flavored with both yellow onion and spring onion, black pepper and tart cranberries. In Löksill Abba we use herring (Clupea harengus) of the highest quality that only comes from viable stocks in the North East Atlantic (Norwegian Sea or North Sea). The herring is stored in our rock room in Kungshamn before we put it in with selected spices and flavorings so that you can find your favorite taste. Is Löksilen from Abba the world's tastiest onion herring? It is not up to us to answer, but we do know that our onion herring is one of our best-selling herring varieties and it is not so strange to understand as it goes just as well on the Christmas table, the Easter buffet and the midsummer celebration as a good lunch together with fresh potatoes topped with sour cream and chives.Abba takes fresh fish from the sea and puts it into barrels and then marinates the old-fashioned way.  The barrels are stored like the finest of wines - in the dark and at a precise temperature. The herring is then cut into appetizing pieces with that perfectly preserved resistance in each bite.
